Mr Akhil Gupta is a graduate in Civil Engineering from IIT, Roorkee and post graduate in
management from IIT, Delhi. He has 40 years of experience with large corporations in Corporate
Management, Business Development and has successfully executed several large value
Infrastructure and Industrial Projects. Mr Akhil Gupta is CEO of Shapoorji Pallonji- Engineering
& Construction (India) business and Executive Director on the board of Shapoorji Pallonji
and Company Private Limited.

Before joining Shapoorji Pallonji, he was the Executive Director-Operations and Whole Time
Member of Board of Afcons Infrastructure Limited and he was responsible for company’s
business in Roads, Railways & Bridges in India, South Asia, Middle East and Africa. He has been
responsible for expansion of Surface Transport Business of Afcons in Africa, South Asia and
Middle East and successful delivery of several large value Infrastructure Projects in India and
Africa.

He led Petron Civil successfully as the Managing Director for 3 years. Apart from this, he had
long stints with Punj Lloyd Ltd. and IRCON International Ltd.
He has proven track record of developing, training and leading large teams for management and
execution of large value infrastructure and industrial projects both in India and abroad.
Analytical and keen student of Construction Industry, Mr Gupta has presented papers on
Construction management at domestic and international conferences. He has received awards
and recognition for professional excellence from various organizations.
