We are a non-profit company established in November 2008 and registered u/s 12AA of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
Premier Institute in India for Lean Construction, its propagation and its application.
Lean Construction focuses on improvement of performance of the construction industry and its individual projects. The inefficiency in the construction industry and wastage is reckoned, as 50-60% abroad, and definitely more so in India.
- Lean Construction Management is a forward looking Project Management practice, founded on the basics of Lean Concepts, which originated from Toyota Motors of Japan after the Second World War
- Many leading industrial houses in India have been practicing Lean Manufacturing fruitfully for quite some time now
- Lean Construction emerged from the very successful practices of Lean Manufacturing
- Lean Construction developed around 1990 and has become quite popular all over the world
- It came to India in 2008 when ILCE was formed with the very purpose of propagating Lean Construction
- Lean is all about minimising all types of construction waste, increasing productivity, improving collaborative working, fostering continuous improvement and enhancing customer value
